Premier Foods’ New Flagship HQ: A Smart, Flexible Workplace Redefined

The Challenge

As Premier Foods prepared to establish a new flagship head office, the organisation faced the challenge of translating its evolving workplace strategy into a highly visible, real‑world environment. This was not a typical office fit‑out, but a space expected to represent the brand, support hybrid working, and function as a central hub for collaboration, training and large‑scale communication.

The building needed to accommodate a wide range of use cases — from executive meetings and day‑to‑day collaboration through to live broadcasts, training sessions and company‑wide town halls — within a modern, sustainably designed environment. The risk was clear: without a carefully considered AV strategy, the technology could easily become complex to operate, difficult to support, or visually intrusive, undermining both user confidence and the quality of the space itself.

BoomSpace was engaged early to work directly with Premier Foods’ senior stakeholders, shaping the AV strategy alongside the wider workplace design and delivery teams from the outset.

The BoomSpace AV Solution

BoomSpace approached the project as an opportunity to define a clear model for a modern, smart flagship workplace — one where communication, flexibility and brand experience could coexist without complexity. From the outset, the focus was on delivering technology that felt effortless to use while supporting the highly varied, multi‑purpose requirements of the building.

Working closely with Premier Foods’ senior stakeholders, BoomSpace developed a bespoke AV strategy tailored to each area of the HQ, supported by enterprise‑grade AV installation. Spaces were designed to transition seamlessly between day‑to‑day collaboration, executive meetings, large‑scale presentations and live broadcast events, without placing additional demands on users or compromising the visual integrity of the environment.

A core element of the solution was intelligent AV integration. Systems were unified through intuitive control interfaces, robust Zoom Room standardisation, integrated room and desk booking, digital signage and IPTV. These platforms were also connected with the building’s wider infrastructure, including integration with the Building Management System (BMS), supporting both operational performance and sustainability objectives without compromising reliability.

Throughout the design and delivery, particular attention was paid to challenging physical conditions — including glass‑walled spaces, high ceilings, hard flooring and open collaborative areas. AV technology was intentionally discreet, preserving the HQ’s clean architectural aesthetic while remaining fully serviceable and adaptable for future change. To ensure long‑term resilience, the solution was delivered with governance, documentation and ongoing support in mind, supported by BoomCare.
